Cincinnati currently sports a 26-33 record. The bad news is they are 10 games out of first place. There is good news though. With the advent of the wild card position more teams are destined to make the playoffs. The Reds are only 2.5 games out of the wild card position at this time. While it’s still way too early to jockey for position in the playoffs winning, at any point of the season doesn’t hurt.
Bell is no longer a newby at managing. He is now a veteran. In his sixth year as a manager, Bell has compiled a record of 359 wins and 408 losses. Of his five previous seasons, he has two seasons where he won more than he lost. One season ended with 100 losses, and one season ended in a playoff appearance.
